What to expect.

Initial Evaluation

Our service is free to use, with no obligation to part ex your car.

For a free online valuation:

  • Using the form at the bottom of this page. provide us with your vehicle’s registration and mileage, followed by your email address, postcode and mobile number.  You will be asked to declare the condition of the vehicle as accurately as possible.
  • Upon receipt of your information, we will make an initial offer based on current the market value. This is subject to change upon a physical inspection on the vehicle should you choose to proceed.

Booking an appointment:

  • After receiving your initial valuation, we will contact you to arrange an appointment date and time.

Selling your vehicle:

  • Arrive at AEH branch at your pre-booked appointment time.
  • We will inspect your vehicle and conduct a short test drive before offering you a price.
  • If you’re happy with the price we offer you, this will be used against the outstanding balance of the new car you wish to purchase from us.

If you do decide to use your car in a part exchange, we will run through all the relevant paperwork and offset the price against the new vehicle of your choice. There will be some paperwork that needs to be completed which includes:

  • Notifying the DVLA that your car has been sold and claiming a road tax refund (if applicable).
  • Updating the vehicle logbook (V5C).
  • Payment of any outstanding finance with an in-date settlement letter.

What do you need to bring to the appointment?

Documents:

  • V5C logbook.
  • Service history (if available).
  • Any extras (e.g. locking wheel nut, 2 keys).

Your ID:

  • Photographic proof of ID (e.g. driving license or passport).
  • Proof of address from the last 9 months (e.g. utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement).

Financial details:

  • Your bank details (so we can set up the payments if you opt to take one of our financing options).
  • If your car has outstanding finance, an in-date letter from the car finance company confirming the settlement amount.
